Italian Protection Camp
The Komitee gegen den Vogelmord (Committee Against Bird Slaughter -CABS) preparations for the next large bird protection camp in Brescia, Northern Italy, are in full swing. The camp takes place from 30 Sep to 19 Nov 2006. CABS is looking for volunteers for the weeks 21 – 28 Oct and 11 – 19 Nov to assist in finding illegal nets and traps and, in cooperation with the forest police, to apprehend the poachers. The requirements are experience in conservation, a good physical condition (operations in the mountains), team spirit and a handful of courage. Please let CABs know by the end of August at the latest – the sooner the better – if you are interested. Travel and accommodation costs will be met for by CABS and there are of course no other costs for participants.
