Audubon Christmas Bird Count
With holidays just around the corner, the Weminuche Audubon Society (WAS) is gearing up for Pagosa Springs, Colorado first-ever participation in the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count (CBC).
Each year since 1900, Audubon members and bird lovers across the continent have given one day of their holiday season to tally every bird they can find within pre-determined count circles, contributing valuable data to bird studies worldwide.
On January 2nd, WAS volunteers will cover 14 zones within the newly established Pagosa Springs count circle. Visit the beautiful mountain town of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and help with the count. Both beginner and expert birders are needed.
