Birding County Louth

County Louth is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Leinster and is part of the Border Region. It is named after the village of Louth. Louth County Council is the local authority for the county. According to the 2016 census, the population of the county is 122,897. Louth is also Ireland's smallest county by area.

The Louth Nature Trust was founded in 2008 and its objectives include: Managing the Little Tern Conservation Project at Baltray; Acquiring and managing sites of conservation interest; Promoting nature conservation in County Louth and Protecting Louth’s biodiversity where it is threatened.
