New Look & New Info
Fatbirder's latest developments…Always striving to help birders world wide the Fat Birder has made some changes to the look and feel of the site… not just more pleasing on the eye but, hopefully, making it easier to find what you are looking for… the biggest change are the new page sections. Now each has its own scroll bar so you do not have to scroll down a very long page if looking, say, for a tour guide, you can just go to that section and scroll through its entries. Moreover, we are switching from old map refs to Googlemap links - familiar to most net users and available in satellite view or just like an old fashioned map.The UK top sites, bird observatories and reserves will be first to benefit but over time all existing references will be updated. Over the long term we hope to cover the whole world… if you want this treatment to reserves and hotspots in your part of the world just send a link (to the satellite view version) of the place in question and we will get it on line asap. So, where, in the past, there might have been a long web address in blue you will increasingly see a blue word such as 'BLOG', 'Report', 'Information', 'Website' or 'Satellite View' which, if you click it, will take you to a website for that reserve, trip report, BLOG or whatever, or a map showing the location of a birding hot spot.
We would love to hear what you think of these changes as well, of course, as any suggested links, articles or pointing out errors and dead links. We value all feedback, positive or negative so we can go on growing this unique birder's resource..
