Folkestone Owl Rescue

…needs you!

Folkestone Owl Rescue is in dire distress financially and could be forced to close.

The Centre has run for 22 years , relying on public donations, which have lately not covered outgoings.

At present, the Centre is home to 46 owls, including the skateboarding barn owl which went viral on Youtube. There are a selection of other species including European and African eagle owls, some tawnys, a snowy and a little owl. The owner Brian Maxted would love to hear from anyone with the experience and facilities who is able to give an owl or owls a home.

79 year old birder Ron Bartlett has volunteered to help raise money, and has set up a website: http://www.folkestoneowlrescue.yolasite.com

Donations will be gratefully received at 57 Downs Road, Folkestone,Kent, CT19 5PW, UK or can be sent to a http://www.payza.com account reference: folkowlres@gmail.com which is also the Centre email address.
