Peanut Better

The “Great Peanut Debate” has moved on since fungal contamination tales led to falling out amongst suppliers and endorsing organisations. What was the Birdfood Standards Association is to become the Birdcare Standards Association looking towards other real threats to wild birds too & people can look for the new logo showing that the supplier has conformed to the improved BSA Standards.

Birdcare Standards AssociationThe ?Great Peanut Debate? has moved on a little since the worldwide fungal contamination problem led to falling out amongst suppliers and those who endorsed them, and suppliers are now looking, as an association, towards other real threats to wild birds as well such as, for example, e-coli etc. The debate had one very positive outcome ? changes at the BSA ? that I believe we should all welcome. What was the Birdfood Standards Association is to become the Birdcare Standards Association with a new, enhanced remit. Furthermore, people can look out for their new logo and be confident that the displaying member has conformed to the improved BSA Standards.Their new avowed objectives are to:Set and promote standards by policing the supply of safe and nutritional feeds to the wild bird population, particularly by members, but also by other suppliers within the industry.Set and promote standards and police the supply of safe peanuts to the wild bird population, particularly by members, but also by other suppliers within the industry.Promote the adoption of hygienic practices in caring for wild birds, through the members, and by educating the trade and public at large.Furthering the conservation of all wild bird species, especially those in decline or in danger, through the correct interpretation of scientific evidence and by guiding the resultant commercial activities of the members, as well as by educating the trade and the public at large. In Short:
*NUTRITION
*SAFE NUTS
*HYGEINE
*CONSERVATION
