The Fat birder shop is on its way…Many of our surfers have asked why we do not sell direct, items of interest to birders… and the answer has always been that Fatbirder is not a commercial site. However, it takes up so much time and money to keep it up to date it really ought to create sufficient income to cover its costs. The Fatbirder was recently approached by a company offering to set up a shop for us. I looked into their background and found them to be an ethical trader that only carries goods for those who love mother nature and want to live in harmony with her. So we are now working together to create a one-stop shop where you can buy everything a birder might need to persue their obsession! What is more it will allow people to register with Fatbirder to hear news of products, offers, developments and news and views. It will be strictly opt-in only so no one will get spam from us! Rest assured we won`t sell on your details either! The shop will be truly international both in sales and suppliers. We are interested in hearing from manufacturers and retailers who have things to sell that would interest birders, if we like the product we`ll add it to the shop window - but ONLY products for birders mind, we do not want to clutter the store with unrelated items. We are particularly interested to hear from manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers who can ship world wide. Whilst some products are universal others have a distincly local flavour - there is not much call for hummingbird feeders in Europe or cold weather clothing in Alice Springs! So we would like to hear from specialist companies anywhere whose products might interest birders in some places but not others. Over time we hope that the shop will be just as global as every other aspect of Fatbirder.Of course, as always, we would love to hear from Fatbirder users if they have views - maybe you have come across something that is now always in your pocket when out birding that you bought overseas and cannot get at home.So Watch This Space the shop should arrive by the middle of July!
