RSPB needs volunteers

The RSPB is looking for volunteers? to undertake 3-4 farmland bird surveys on allocated farms during the forthcoming breeding season, as part of the Volunteer & Farmer Alliance.

The RSPB is looking for volunteers? to undertake 3-4 farmland bird surveys on allocated farms during the forthcoming breeding season, as part of the Volunteer & Farmer Alliance.It is hoped this year alone, over 1000 farms will be surveyed throughout the UK. This is a huge task and we need your help. Are you willing to volunteer a small amount of your time to help farmland birds? Full training is given and you will receive travel expenses.The results are analysed and each farmer receives a computerised map highlighting the species that are present on his/her farm and receives farmland bird advisory pack.We need volunteers in the following areas: Devon, Somerset, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Beds, Cambs, Northants, Lincs, Leicestershire, Gloucestershire, Hereford & Worcs, S Wales, N Wales, Notts, Yorkshire, Lancs, Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Cleveland and SW Scotland.For further details please contact: Jenny Atkins on 01767 680551 or mail to: jenny.atkins@rspb.org.uk
