Fatbirder View:The latest addition to Helm’s Photographic Guides series is a step up I think. Each species is covered with a series of photographs allowing for identification on all the main points. Most they shots are good and the light conditions are pretty consistent, presumably because the islands have climate rather than weather! I’m no lover of photo field guides, but of its sort this is of a high standard.
