The Publisher’s View:

Nepal has long been one of the world’s most popular birding and trekking destinations. This new field guide covers all 800 species of bird found in this tiny, mountainous kingdom. Based on the revised edition of Birds of the Indian Subcontinent (2011) from the same author team, this brand new edition of Birds of Nepal offers new plates, re-written text, and range maps for the first time. The species accounts covers identification, voice, habitat, altitudinal range, distribution and status, and the text and maps are placed opposite the plates for easy reference.

This important title in the Helm Field Guides series will be essential for all birders and naturalists living in or visiting Nepal.

Fatbirder View:

An updated version of an already excellent guide. I missed the first edition but am assured this is updated with maps and some plates and text revised. I’ve very little to say except that this is up to the high standards one has come to expect from the Helm Field Guides.
