I’ve never visited, but if I am passing that way again I certainly will. This is not a field guide or dry account but a well-written prayer to ‘nature’. I say nature but much of what is written about and illustrated is actually man-made or cultivated as the area is a botanical garden, a deliberate collection of exotic beauty. Moreover, there are lots of non-native birds to be seen here. This is not a criticism, it really is a beautiful book with some large stunning photos. This is the sort of book you would buy to remind you of your visit and to leave lying around to make your guests envious! I love the small trail guide that comes with it… great idea!Buy Direct Here: Acclaim Press/a>
